The Boat Won’t Start
- Empty gas tank
- Fuel lines kinked or pinched
- Water or dirt in the fuel system
- Clogged fuel filter or screens
- Motor not being choked to start
- Loose, broken wire or frayed insulation
- Reed valves not seating or stuck shut
- Weak coil or condenser
- Loose fuel connector
- Engine not primed – pump primer system
- Carburetor adjustments too lean (not allowing enough fuel to start engine
